Course Duration

2 – Day face to face training.
9am – 4pm at our Brisbane Training Centre located Eight Mile Plains Brisbane. 
Practical course component – use of fire extinguishers to extinguish a live fire.

About the Course

Our Fire Safety Adviser course in Queensland provides essential training specific to Queensland legislation. It covers fire safety roles, compliance, and equipment handling, with practical incident control and emergency planning.

Course Content

• Understand the role & responsibilities of the fire safety adviser
• Fire safety adviser legislative & regulatory requirements
• Identify fire safety installations equipment in a building
• Develop an awareness & understanding of maintenance & records pertaining to fire safety
• Practical incident control & chief fire warden scenarios
• Understand the emergency planning process
• Understanding the role & responsibilities of Emergency Control Organisation(ECO) members and the Emergency Planning Committee (EPC)
• Practical fire extinguisher training

Learning Outcomes

On successful completion of this program, participants will be awarded the following Nationally Recognised Units of Competency:

Pre-Requisites & Entry Requirements

Pre-Requisites:

PUAFER006 Lead an emergency control organisation has the pre-requisite of PUAFER005 Operate as part of an emergency control organisation, which is included in the course.

FSA Entry Requirements:

• USI
• Fitness to participate
• Enclosed footwear, long pants, long sleeves
• Sufficient language, literacy and numeracy skills to complete the course
